Team Description
The Rennstall Esslingen is the Formula Student Electric Team of the University of Applied Sciences Esslingen. The name is based on the nickname of our university, “Stall”. The origin of the nickname reaches back to the year 1868. Back in the days the university was located in Stuttgart next to the royal stables. After the school moved to Esslingen the students took the nick with them.

Rennstall Esslingen from Hochschule Esslingen enters FSG 2025 with a young and motivated team. Our third electric car focuses on reliability, driveability, and performance by unlocking the full potential of last year's concept. Key highlights include refined aerodynamics and in-house developed motors. After being the best non-DV team at FSG, we’re ready to push the limits again and prove the strength of consistent development and team spirit on track.

The Stallardo '24 marks the second FSE car from Rennstall Esslingen. After starting a new chapter in 2023, we learned a lot during our first season and are now entering with a completely newly developed race car concept. With smaller tires, self-developed motors, micro tube radiators, a new monocoque, a completely new undertray, and a new rear wing, we made significant changes and introduced some exciting new features and highlights into the car.

After 15 successful years competing in the combustion class of Formula Student, we have embarked on a new journey as a dedicated electric team. However, our story doesn't begin from scratch. Thanks to the years of experience in the electric vehicle (EV) class of our sister team, E.Stall, we have had the incredible opportunity to merge the manpower and knowledge of both teams and create a collaborative project, resulting in a remarkable electric vehicle ready to hit the track!

The E.Stall Esslingen was founded in 2012 and is the electric team of the UAS Esslingen, located at the Campus in Göppingen. Our new car, EVE 22, is an evolution of EVE 20. Goals for this years car were mainly reliability and ergonomics while driving and maintaining, and further reducing weight. Other technical highlights are our >20kg high stiffness monocoque, DRS system and driver adjustable Torque Vectoring. After six years of FSG absence we are excited to once again compete at Hockenheim.

We are a small new team with very motivated members. The Team consists of people from nearly every faculty of our university and we having a mix of engineers, industrial engineers, business- and social scientists. First of all we want to have reliable car for the events. In fact that is the most important point. We want to finish every endurance this year! The main concept this year is the torque vectoring. Therefore we use two independendly working motors in the rear. The vectoring allows us to combine different behaviors of the car. Like agility and stability. Unlike some other teams we designed our own BMS for the HV and the LV Battery. One reason is to having a chance to adjust some parameters and in case of errors we'll be able to change our hardware.Also new this year is our self designed telemetrie system. It allows us to have a look at the parameters of our battaries (safety issues) and some important performance indicators like brake pressure, or steering angle. See You!
