Team Description

Dynamics e.V. is the Formula Student Team of the OTH Regensburg. Our association was founded in 2006 and contains about 100 students of different faculties.

Since our first bolide, RP08, took part in Hockenheim at FSG 2008 our achievement increased every year. In our most successful season 2018, we held our 5th position Overall in Hockenheim.
After competing in both, the electric and the combustion class in 2019, we switched fully to the electric class for the 2020 season.

Info
It is the first time, the Dynamics e.V. is building two cars since our founding in 2006. About 70 dedicated members are designing, manufacturing and testing the two new cars. The RP19c and the RP19e. For the combustion competition this will be our 12th car. A lightweight design, the focus on aerodynamics and high reliability are the key facts for this season.

Info
An era is going to end! It´s the last time we´ll have only one car. For this season, we awoke a beast, which is wild, hard to tame and it´s BLACK! With hard work, men- and womenpower we found a way to control and improve it, in form of a new Powertrain and a further improved aerodynamic package to be prepared for the upcoming competitions. But there is more! Our beast will get a little brother, not so loud and angry but way faster and good for our carbon foodprint...

Dynamics: "(...) the effects of forces on the motions of bodies". There are many reasons why in December 2006 this became the name of our FS team. We, the Dynamics e.V., are a group of racing enthusiasts, who form a strong team, eager to work hard to constantly move forward and achieve our goal: building a competitive vehicle from scratch during the period of an academic year. Therefore students from the various fields of studies offered at the University of Applied Sciences in Regensburg, Germany put their effort, growing know-how gained during lectures, and physical hard work into all the stages of constructing, operating and promoting their race car, which is this season’s RP12. The numerous competitions are the highlights of each season, where teams from all over the world participate. They are yet another motivation that everybody is looking forward to because in the performance of the self-made vehicle all the hard work of the previous months finally pays off.

The season theme for our fourth formula student season and our fourth formula student combustion race car is “evolution not revolution”. The Dynamics e.V. of the University of Applied Sciences in Regensburg was founded in 2006 by 20 dedicated students and meanwhile sums up to more than 50 race car enthusiastic team members from every faculty. This year’s car is based on the experience of the last cars and was built to improve the performance and design. We proudly present the car for the season 2011: the RP11c! The intention of a perfect race car has changed over the years and we improved a lot. This year’s design is driven to provide a perfect working environment for our drivers. Some specials are a lightweight construction with a maximum effort in safety for the driver, ergonomically optimised seat, pedals and steering wheel position and a highly optimised powertrain concept.

As the popular proverb says: „All good things come in threes“, the „Dynamics Racing Team“of the University of Applied Sciences in Regensburg has perfect preconditions, starting into their 3rd season. The team was founded in 2006 by 20 dedicated students and meanwhile sums up to 50 race car enthusiastic team members from every faculty. This year, more experienced, they are up to improve their last year´s performance at the Formula Student Event 2010 and are proud to present their new race car: RP10. The perfect mixture of optimization to the last year’s car version, enthusiastic and committed people and their Bavarian charm will contribute to the success of the RP10.Our intention for this year is to get a perfect handling of our car which will be realized by a low weight CFK-body, which will not only be light but also awesome looking. Also the center of gravity will be lowered by lightweight construction and the use of a dry sump engine.

“Inanimate objects are classified scientifically into three categories- those that do not work, those that break down, and those that get lost.” (Alfred North Whitehead)The Dynamics racing team of the University of Applied Sciences Regensburg spent much time and effort in our current object, the RP09, for not making it suffer from one of the quoted disasters. With the second car at all, our history is short! But we accomplished to implement many new features that are based on the experiences we made during the FSG competition from last year! Only with the kind support by our university and our sponsors our goals were able to be achieved. As a result, newly designed features for 2009 are for example: An adjustable self made limited slip differential, which allows a maximum in flexibility in the several dynamic events. In addition, a belt drive replaces the common chain drive as this enables higher shock absorbance, a lower weight and is a cost efficient solution. Let's rock!

In January 2007 the dynamics e. V. was founded by three ambitioned students of the University of Applied Sciences Regensburg. Since then the team was growing up to 50 students from nearly all faculties. As a strong group our six sub teams have been working together on the finish of our first car. For the first season our main focus is to contest successful the endurance events. With this foundation we are convinced to place well under the newcomers. The design and the handling characteristics come more than up with the team name. The aggressive suspension geometry reminds on sitting in a rollercoaster by maximum safety requirements. The vehicle has a special rear suspension, an innovative gearshift and is sure a solid base for the future. RP 08 -a joint venture of handling and speed. We are looking forward to a successful debut and to show the result of our effort. Finally we want to thank our sponsors and our University for the great support.
