Team Description

High Speed Karlsruhe has participated in the Formula Student Event since 2007. In 2021 the 45 team members built the 14th generation combustion race car, the F-115. The F-115 is equipped with new suspension kinematics, a complete new monocoque with special focus on the aerodynamics, that follows a new concept as well. Moreover it comes with a reworked cooling system, new brake system and the proven E85 fuel system. Our team is unique as we built as much as possible with our own hands. E.g. team members also program and operate CNC machines, laminate the cfk parts and assemble the electronic circuit boards on their own.

Info
High Speed Karlsruhe is part a of Formula Student since 2007. With the F-115, our 15th car, we set a new standard and reworked almost the whole car. It is equiped with an all new monocoque following the new aerodynamics concept with the wide undertray and a chassis integrated diffusor. The new kinematics were developed to supply the best grip and support the aero devices to work reliably. With our in house machining center, we are able to manufacture the majority of our racecar by ourself.

High Speed Karlsruhe, founded 2006, contains about 41 students out of different fields of study. This year we built our 8th combustion car the F-108. It’s powered by a 600cc 4 cylinder Honda engine and the chassis is composed of a CFRP monocoque in the front and a tubular space frame in the rear. With the multifunctional steering wheel the driver can adjust the brake balance and the anti-roll bars while driving. To enhance the dynamic performance we designed a new Aerodynamic package.

Founded in 2006, High Speed Karlsruhe is entering its 7th season in the Formula Student competition. Forty motivated students of the University of Applied Science Karlsruhe have been working together for one year to build the new racecar, named F - 107. The F - 107 is a direct decedent of its predecessors. All our cars imply the 600cc four cylinder engine and 13" wheels. As the second generation, the F - 107 is featuring an improved CFRP monocoque chassis which provides additional stiffness. Another feature is our CAN bus system which connects all control units and actuators. The electronic system is equipped with advanced data logging, traction and launch control. A Wi-Fi system enables the engineers to monitor the vitals of the car in real time. This season, we are proud to present our most obvious innovation: our new invented aero kit which enhances the dynamic performance. We would like to thank all our sponsors and supporters for their efforts. Your support is greatly appreciated.

Founded in 2006, High Speed Karlsruhe is entering its 6th season in the Formula Student competition. Forty motivated students of the “Technische Hochschule Karlsruhe” worked together for one year to design and build the new car, the F-106.The F-106 is a direct decedent of its predecessors. All our cars share the 600cc four cylinder engine and 13” wheels. The F-106 is the first to feature a CFRP monocoque chassis. This new design provides superior stiffness and a lower cg compared to the space frame previously used. The car uses a CAN bus system, which connects all control units and actuators. The electronic system is equipped with advanced data logging, traction and launch control. A WiFi system enables the engineers to monitor the vitals of the car in real time.We would like to thank all our sponsors and supporters for their efforts. Your support is greatly appreciated. We are looking forward to an exciting season with the F-106 racing here at FSG and later this year in Spain.

Founded in 2006, Highspeed Karlsruhe is entering its 5th successful year of competition in Formula Student Germany, the 4th year in Formula ATA in Italy and the 1st in Spain. About 40 motivated students have worked together to develop the new cars, the F-105 and the E-105. The F-105 has been evolved from its predecessor, the F-104, by optimizing it even further. The F-105 boasts of a very short wheelbase along with a low centre of gravity, achieved by developing a completely new oil tank and an ultra compact oil pan. This along with the carbon-tube suspension and a rigid frame ensure even better drivability and faster cornering. A motorsport grade engine controller ensures a consistent power output both in maximum power and fuel efficiency mode. An advanced and stunning bodywork design has always been a trademark of the team. We would like to thank our sponsors and supporters, whose efforts are greatly appreciated, and are looking forward to a great competition in Hockenheim.

Founded in 2006, High Speed Karlsruhe is entering its fourth year of competition in Formula Student Germany, and the third year in Formula ATA in Italy. About 40 students from different departments, mostly new to the project, worked together to develop the new car, the F-104.The design process of the F-104 focused on retaining and optimizing the strengths of last year’s F-103, whilst improving the weaker points of the 2009 season. In order to achieve this objective, the team was restructured to improve the quality and speed of the concept and design phase of the project. The new car itself features several new ideas concerning its frame structure, suspension design and drivetrain, allowing for lower weight and better drivability. The F-104’s attractive bodywork styling can already be called a trademark of the team.We would like to thank our sponsors and supporters, whose efforts are greatly appreciated, and are looking forward to a great competition in Hockenheim.

Info
Founded in 2006, High Speed Karlsruhe is entering its third year of competition in Formula Student Germany. About 40 students from different departments worked together to develop the team’s new car, the F103. The design of the F103 is focused on retaining and optimizing the strengths of last year’s F102, whilst improving its weaker points. In order to achieve this goal, attention was paid to weight reduction, without compromising the car’s excellent reliability which allowed us to finish in every event we have taken part in. The enhanced engine concept is combined with a redesigned frame and several new features to increase driver safety, drivability and ease of use. Student made CFRP rims are a new highlight of the car, whereas the attractive body styling can already be called a trademark of the team. We would like to thank all our sponsors and supporters, whose efforts are greatly appreciated, and are looking forward to a great competition in Hockenheim!

Info
After the successful start into the Formula Student in 2007 the team of the University of Applied Sciences is motivated to embellish their position in the new season. About sixty students worked hard on the new concept improving every part of the new prototype. Beside an individual Air intake and exhaust system, the special oil lubrication and a full aluminum chassis suspension are only a few highlights making the F102 so unique. Modern manufacturing processes decrease costs and make the vehicle ready for production run. The technical aspects can only be exceeded by an exciting style making the car look even faster. Furthermore we would like to thank all our partners and fans for their support and we are looking forward to a great and fair competition. Would you like to share your enthusiasm for motorsport with us? So feel free to visit our team in Hockenheim and take a look at Formula Student Germany's next Top-Model.
