Team Description
Team KART is a group of students from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur who like to explore the practical side of automotive engineering.
Its foundation was laid in 2008. Team KART is officially a sponsored research project under the Sponsored Research and Industrial Consultancy Cell (SRIC) and the department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Kharagpur. The team designs, fabricates, manufactures and tests Formula Style race cars and represents IIT Kharagpur at various National and International events.
The team has designed 5 cars till now and is manufacturing its latest car, the fifth in its lineage, K4. The latest endeavour of the team involved its participation in the Formula Bharat,2017, event in Coimbatore, India. The team bagged runners-up in the Business Logic Presentation
