Info
LUMotorsport is proud to present LFS13, its first all-new car in four years. The team has pushed hard this year to achieve this, and is confident that it will bring great success. The engine remains unchanged, as the venerable Honda CBR600RR unit; however the chassis, suspension and driveline have all received major overhauls. The ethos with LFS13 is for simplicity. With this in mind, the new suspension design does away with anti-roll bars in favour of innovatively designed quick-change rockers. Significant weight savings in the steel spaceframe chassis, billet aluminium uprights, wheels, bodywork and wiring loom have resulted in our lightest car ever. The team at Loughborough operates as a small close-knit group, voluntarily and entirely in its spare time. This breeds impeccable care and attention to detail in every single component, ensuring a strong pride in what we produce. We will be attending both Silverstone and Hockenheim this year, and as ever aim to place top UK University.

Info
LUMotorsport is now entering its 8th year of competition and is now establishing itself as one of the top formula student teams in the UK. It is made up of 10 highly motivated individuals who fit designing, manufacturing and testing the car around their individual degree courses. Needless to say this involves lots of late nights, many pizzas and lots of fun along the way. This year’s car LFS10 is based upon last year’s excellent performing car LFS09 which was by far LUMs most reliable car to date. The main focus this year has been to remove over 20Kg from the car, improve performance and increase fuel economy. To achieve these targets, every component designed for LFS10 has been scrutinised to remove the most amount of weight. These components include new front uprights, new inlet manifold, simpler pedal box, improved chassis and suspension. With these improvements based upon a successful recipe we hope that LFS10 will become one of the top cars in this year's competition.

Info
LUM is entering its 7th year of competition and is now established as a front running team within FSUK and FS Germany competitions. The LUM team consist of 15 key members, who complete the design and manufacturing of the race vehicle, outside the boundaries of their academic studies. LUM exists entirely through financial sponsorship attained by the team’s partnerships with industry.LFS09 is a radically new design which has been built upon the principles of LFS08’s excellent reliability. The car gains a significant improvement in engine power and driveability; the other main improvements are from the new drivetrain and suspension kinematics with the focus on developments in vehicle dynamics.LUM has initiated research projects, which can be implemented on future cars with particular regard to composite components, launch and traction control. The team aims to become the UK’s top formula student team, to coincide with Loughborough University’s excellent engineering reputation.

Info
LUMotorsport is entering its 6th year of competition and is now established as a consistent top ten finisher within Formula Student UK. The LUMotorsport team comprises 15 highly dedicated students, for which both vehicle design and construction falls outside of the requirements of academic study. This structure is supported by many sponsors and partners, who’s efforts are greatly appreciated. The design of LFS08 is focused upon optimisation rather than invention, tuning the strengths of LFS07, whilst addressing the weaknesses. Consequently, vehicle dynamics have been modified to suit the ever tighter tracks of recent events, through adjustments to both wheelbase and front track. Furthermore, LFS08 sees a shift to the use of structural composite materials within the wheels and wishbones, enhancing the teams knowledge in preparation for increased adoption on future vehicles. It is with LFS08 that LUMotorsport believes that success can be achieved within both FS UK & Germany.
