The Race-Ing. Team of UAS Dortmund is a group of engaged students of different fields of study. Beside our study we develop racecars to take part in the Formula Student competition. The project should give us the possibility to apply theoretical knowledge from the studies practically. We want to compile technical know-how and make important experiences in view of our professional future. With an average number of team-members of about 15 over the years, the Race-Ing. Team is working in two year development periods. This means a fully new developed race car every two years with a forceful optimized second year version in between. Our car for this FS-season is the RI-12evo. It is based on the first year car RI-12. Like every vehicle made by Race-Ing. the RI-12evo has a cfrp-monocoque. The aim is a consistent weight reduction while not losing durability to provide high racing-performance.

The Race-Ing. Team of the University of applied Sciences and Arts Dortmund participates at Formula Student Events for four years.Since the foundation the team structure as well as the infrastructure could be expanded and optimized. With an average number of team members of about 15 over the years the Race-Ing.Team is working in two year development periods. This means a fully new developed race car every two years with a forceful optimized second year version in between. For this FS-season the RI-ölf is a new development of about 20 committed students.Like every vehicle made by Race-Ing. the RI-ölf has a carbon fiber monocoque.New this year is a divisible rear for better maintenance. The aim for the RI-ölf is a consistent weight reduction while not losing durability to provide high racing performance.Furthermore it is the Team’s intent to belong to the 20 best german Formula Student Teams. The Race-Ing. Team wishes you an amazing event and good luck for the competition to all teams!

Info
The Race-Ing.Team was founded in 2005 and consists of 17 members.Based on the last year´s car,the RI10 was optimized relating to the driver ergonomics, fuel efficiency and the student designed dry sump. The new catch tank with its enhanced defoaming function warrants an optimal oil supply in each driving situation. Also the pedal system, steering wheel and cooling system have been optimized. The updated gear shifting mechanism works faster than its predecessor. The chassis of the RI10 is a one-piece crp monocoque and offers high stiffness for best suspension performances.A high range of adjustment options for the suspension permit the great performance of the RI 10 in every discipline. For weight reduction all major structure components, casings and intake-system parts are made of advanced composites.Goal for the 2010 season is to present a highly competitive vehicle to get closer to the European top teams. We wish all teams all the best, success and of course lots of fun for the done hard work

Info
Basing on the last years car, the RI 08 was built new and better than its predecessor. While the basic features remained the same, the reliability and the driver ergonomics have been improved. The new Monocoque is a Carbonfibre Honeycomb sandwich structure which offers maximum strength and durability while being very light. The CNC-machined rearframe is connected to the Monocoque via the Honda CBR 600 engine. The FH Dortmund Race-Ing. Team is looking forward to the 2008 FSG competition and wishes the fellow raceteams luck and blessing.
