Info
FESPE racing team is a group of engaged students from different areas of study of our University. COLIBRI is the third car of the team; this one fitted with a Honda CBR600 F4i engine and comes with some improvement along the design like: reduction of weight, better suspension, lower center of gravity and other in general. All the improvements developed result a car more dynamic, finally we grateful to our sponsors for all their assistance.
Engineering Design Priorities:
FESPE improvement developed Colibri dynamic Ecuador

Info
Our whole FESPE Team is really proud and happy to have the chance to participate for the second year, in the FSG 2012. More than being the unique Ecuadorian Team participating is such a prestigious competition; our team is focused on doing an outstanding performance. Then we have a great human talent, automotive design technology of last generation, suitable materials, manufacturing processes and efficient construction techniques. The team has 13 members. We have set ourselves the challenge of designing and building the new vehicle that has been based mainly on the rules imposed on us by SAE. We have optimized the space reducing its weight. Therefore, we get as outcome a good vehicle performance. In addition, the pilot has all the amenities of the case to ensure proper ergonomics. Our challenge was building a vehicle that is able to take part of a worldwide competition using resources in our Ecuadorian market. The power of our new car is an engine Kawasaki ZX6R.

Info
We are very excited to be the first Ecuadorian team in design and build a Formula SAE vehicle, and is much more gratifying to know that this vehicle will participate in the competition Formula Studen Genrmay 2011. We have big expectations to know and learn from the work of other teams with more experience. Almost all of our vehicle was hand made manufactured. All the successes and especially the mistakes of the project have motivated us every day and although we carry the great responsibility of being the first South American team in participate, is indescribable the pride that we feel to be able to carry the name and a bit of the culture of our country to the competition.
