Info
TUSCIA Reparto Corse has been participating in Formula SAE since 2009. The team took part in European official events in 2010 and 2011 with encouraging results. Year after year, the team has gained higher standing as regards its debut season. The philosophy behind the 2012 project involves the design and implementation of a reliable, light, powerful, easy to drive car with a low cost of construction and maintenance. In developing the project, extensive use of CAE software was made, for the mechanical design and for the tuning of the powertrain. The main specifications in 2012 of the TUSCIA RC car consist of: optimized steel tube chassis, Honda CBR F Sport engine, intake manifolds in Polyamide nylon and exhaust manifolds in titanium, aluminum wheel group, lighter shafts with tri-pod joints, limited slip differential, data logging system with sensors for vehicle dynamics, carbon fiber bodywork for an overall car weight of 220 kg, 60 kW @ 11.500 rpm and 58 Nm @ 8.000 rpm.

2011
Info
The philosophy behind the 2011 project involves the design and implementation of a reliable car, powerful, easy to ride and with low cost of implementation and ownership. In developing the project an extensive use of CAE software has made, for mechanical design and for the design and tuning of the powertrain. The 2010 car had shown a high reliability, going to points in all tests of endurance, and a powerful and tuned powertrain. The main defects of the car 2010 were still high weight and not optimal handling. The cornerstones of the 2011 project then are to reduce weight, optimize handling and the adoption of anti-roll bars, not in the vehicle 2010.For the powertrain developments have focused on getting a power increase of about 5 HP earned by working on cam timing and reducing consumption, optimizing the fuel mixture in relation with the temperature of the exhaust gases.

POMOS Reparto Corse is the racing team of Sustainable Mobility Centre of Regione Lazio, POMOS, and organizes the participations to motorsport events and competitions with an ecologic and educational feeling.POMOS laboratories are equipped for the design, construction and testing of innovative and educational prototypes.POMOS Reparto Corse participates directly to the Formula SAE Championship, after a collaboration with Sapienza and Tor Vergata Universities in 2007 and 2008. Formula SAE is an important tool to prepare the young engineer to know and solve the typical problems of technical and economical management of a work group. The great agonistic feeling typical of Formula SAE events makes easier and deeper the learning process of students. The participations to these motorsport events confers great visibility in national and international media.POMOS searches for technical or economical partners and sponsors in order to support adequately the team efforts.
