Team Description

Since 2009 students from Wroclaw University of Science and Technology are connected by one aim - building a race car and participating at international competition Formula Student.
Today the team consists of 50 members. Since then we have built 9 models. Our tenth car - RTX - is designed and build on the basis of 10 years of experience. In 2017 as a first polish team we have won Formula Student Italy. Since then we are one of the best teams in world.

Info
PWR Racing Team has been established in 2008. Since then 1 virtual project and 4 physical cars have been created. The last car – RT05 – is definitely the most successful one. It is a simple construction based on steel space frame and Honda CBR 600RR engine. The idea behind the design was to create a good base for future development. With several completed events, including FSAE Italy and FSAE Michigan, the car proves to be reliable and easily serviceable, while maintaining top performance.
Engineering Design Priorities:

Info
PWR Racing Team is proud to present RT03 – third car of the team. This build was a great breakthrough for the team. Main area of interest was weight reduction and new materials. For the first time steel frame was replaced with monocoque. Honda CBR600RR engine was dropped in favor of KTM 450SX, which is half as heavy. Turbocharger introduction, together with E85 fuel, provides competitive amount of torque and power. Further weight optimization was done on all elements. These new technologies were challenging but helped to reduce vehicle weight below 180kg. The team consists of 30 students from several faculties at Wroclaw University of Technology and a designer from Academy of Art and Design. Divided into technical and marketing/financial teams, PWR Racing Team members have worked hard to design and build a competitive race car. Group of curious and open-minded people from different backgrounds again, have proven that competitive race cars can be built in Poland.

Info
PWR Racing Team is proud to present RT02 - the second car build by the team. Boosted by the great reception of our first car RT01, high goals were set for the new build. With the help of advanced managerial tools we could divide the tasks between the right persons and increase the performance of the whole team. One of the most interesting features of the new car is the frame - which is a two-piece - which increases the ease of servicing and fine tuning. A lot of effort was put into engine performance. Thanks to the switch to E85 a higher compression pistons could be fitted. This together with high performance exhaust and variable length intake manifold results in a powerful engine. RT02 was also our first car where carbon fibre was introduced on such high scale. Wishbones, drive-axles aje just the few main things which were produced out of this material. We would like to than out University, our Sponsors and everyone who helped during the build of this car. Hockenheim - we are coming!

Info
PWR Racing Team is a group of 20 students from Wroclaw University of Technology. In 2009 as a new team, our virtual car RT09 achieved a 7th place in the third class competition on Silverstone. These results show that our team can be one of the main favorites this year. The new RT01 car is built on knowledge gained from previous year. We are aware that as newcomers in class 1 it is a great challenge to design and build a car that can compete with the best teams. That is why we put emphasis on mass reduction and innovation. In a four cylinder engine of Honda CBR 600 we found the heart of our vehicle. Our custom-made shock absorbers allow us to obtain the desired suspension characteristics. Despite mechanical advantages we cooperate constantly with a designer from Academy of Fine Arts to achieve modern body shape. We would like to thank our University, our Sponsors and everyone who helps us to build this car. We wish all Formula Students teams the best of luck.
