Info
ETSEIB Motorsport, founded in 2007, is the Formula Student Team of the Engineering School of Barcelona. We have taken part in 7 events so far, improving our results every year. 25 students were involved in the development of this year’s prototype, the CAT04.This season’s main targets were to increase reliability and to improve the performance of the car. Even though we focused on the systems that caused problems during last year’s competitions, all other parts of the car have been redesigned and optimized as well. We worked really hard this season, in order to have enough testing time in June to make sure it is fully operative during the competition. This has resulted in a better outcome and an overall weight reduction of more than 20 kg. This gives us even more credit considering that we have manufactured more parts than ever, including frame and several carbon fiber parts. Finally, we would like to thank all our sponsors who make our project become a reality year after year.

Info
With CAT03, ETSEIB Motorsport faces its third Formula Student Germany season with great enthusiasm and hope. The vehicle is completely new, but it inherits all the technical background from the last season's car. Some problems have been solved and we are proud to present a much more efficient and reliable vehicle. This year, the team has worked with an special interest in the engine, trying to avoid the problems we had last year. A new intake has been designed and built in rapid prototyping. But there has been an improvement in many parts of the car: differential, shifting system, frame... All them are little but let us in a good position to get the end of the endurance. Half part of the team members are new and work side by side with the older ones, ensuring a high grade of information transference. Our desire is to have a good competiton and show all the potential of CAT03 at Hockenheim.

2009
Info
This is the second year for ETSEIB Motorsport in Formula Student. The experience acquired the last year and the motivation of the current team augur better perspectives. Presently, the team contains 17 members specialized in different fields who have hardly worked to turn their different ideas into a real new car, the CAT02. It has been taken the decision to start from the scratch and design a new vehicle that could adjust to the specific characteristics of the FS tests. Keeping a similar structure to its predecessor, the main efforts of the team for the new prototype have been focus in saving 70 kg of weight compared to the CAT01, deleting superfluous pieces and optimizing both performance and behavior of every single component. Maximize the engine and achieve versatility to have a modifiable vehicle behavior and introducing telemetry have been important targets. The team really relies on all the work made and it is confident that it will ensure better results in the current year.

2008
Info
This is the 1st year for a completely new team: ETSEIB Motorsport. And 2008 is the first entry of our University to FSG. The team has been created in order to have a stable structure, to establish the foundations of a new project to keep evolving the design of the car in the years to come and permitting us to achieve enough experience, background and know-how for ending manufacturing a really competitive car. The team is composed by 12 members, structured in four groups: Frame&Body, Chassis, Engine&Electronics and Management, all coordinated by the Package Group. It has been a hard work as the project was started on February, so we had only 6 months left to design, built and test the car. The main objective was to build a car in time, focusing on its reliability and overall performance to go through all events successfully. This car is named CAT01. Finally, we really want to thank our sponsors and all the people who helped and supported us to make this possible! Good luck to all teams!
