Info
The BME Formula Racing Team was founded in 2008 at the TU Budapest. During our 5 years of existence we have built 5 gasoline and 2 electric powered racecars and more than 180 people have taken part in designing, procurement, production, building and have dealt with management, logistics and business affairs. Based on these experiences, the continuous development and testing of the past years we believe our team has grown up to the top teams. We have built and tuned a very fast racecar during testing so our target is to finish in the Top 10. The main objective of the design was to build a car that best fits the needs of a weekend car racer: be simple, ergonomic, easily maintainable and repairable, adjustable in many ways, beautiful in every single part from engineering aspects and be the fastest on track of course! Feel free to visit us in our pit garage to see and touch our racecar. We are happy to answer your questions!

Info
BME Formula Racing TeamBudapest University of Technology and EconomicsThe BME Formula Racing Team is a second year competitor in 2009. Due to our last year experiences we defined higher requirements to the car and the team’s performance too. The main goals were to increase the technical parameters in more ways and to get better prepared for the static events. We would like to achieve better performance on the racetrack and keep the car’s reliability, because we have to finish first if we would like to win. Our new car has more sophisticated technical solutions thanks to the more deliberate and careful design. Most of the team members remained with us, but we have some newcomers too. So the konowledge does not disappear, the new members can learn a lot from the experienced ones. We hope that we can achieve our aims and we can show a memorable performance in Hockenheim!

Info
BME Formula Racing TeamBudapest University of Technology and EconomicsThe BME Formula Racing Team is a first year competitor and the first team from Hungary. Our team worked hard in the last year to reach the goal: entering for the Formula Student Germany in 2008. We had no experience in designing racecars, and had no reference from the previous car so it was a great challenge to design and build it. This needed a lot of learning, reading books and developing our theoretical and practical knowledge. The car was manufactured completely by the team members with help from the university that provides the workshop and some tools. Our main sponsors - Thyssenkrupp, Knorr-Bremse, EJJT and Department of Automobile Engineering - gave us financial support without this our car could not be finished. We would like to perform well on our first race and we do everything that we can for this aim.
