Car #250
Info
BR-17 is Brunel University's 18th car, built by a team of 20 undergraduate students. After a disappointing season in 2015 we're hoping for a much better 2016! BR-17 is a monocoque/space frame hybrid powered by the ever reliable Yamaha R6 engine. As well as front and rear wings we make extensive use of Bosch electronics. The package is completed by a beautifully designed and machined suspension system.

Info
Brunel Racing is the Undergraduate team of BEng & MEng students from Brunel University London.BR-SIXTEEN, our 17th entrant, is a big departure from previous Brunel Racing cars. Our previous concept of car was reaching a development dead-end. In order to have realistic ambitions of becoming Top UK team, and reliably being within the Top 10, the team needed a radical re-think.The result is a clean sheet design; every top level decision has been reassessed using mathematical models and competit

Info
Brunel Racing has gone back to basics this year, with the aim of bringing a reliable and tested car to the event. The team has opted to move away from the hybrid chassis design used for the past few years, in favour of a simpler tubular spaceframe design. Despite the car being called BR14, this will in fact be the teams 15th year building a car. However, only a few team members actually have any experience of Formula Student, with most of the team being new arrivals this year. The team are hoping this year will become the first chapter in a new era of success for Brunel Racing. Everyone at Brunel Racing would like to thank all of our partners for their support, without which none of what we have achieved would be possible.

Info
Brunel Racing is having its hardest year for many years with minimal workshop access for the majority of the year and reduced support from the University. However the strength of the team has really shone through with dedicated team members and helpful sponsors really pulling the project back on track. This will be Brunel Racing's 13th year of competing in Formula Student and the hopes are as high as ever. BR13 is the fourth iteration of the hybrid aluminum honeycomb monocoque/rear space frame chassis, which this year incorporates a closed back to further increase chassis stiffness. Brunel Racing would like to thank all our sponsors without whom this year would really not have been possible.

Info
Brunel Racing has competed at every Formula Student Germany event to date and the team has become an integral part of Brunel University’s Motorsport Engineering degree course. The 2010 car, BR-XI is the team’s 11th consecutive entry to Formula Student competitions and builds upon the experiences and successes of previous years. BR-XI carries over a similar concept from 2009 with an aluminium honeycomb sandwich monocoque with rear steel spaceframe. The extremely high stiffness to weight ratio of the honeycomb sandwich monocoque has allowed the team to produce a fully equipped 4-cylinder car weighing only 205kg. Driveability and ergonomics have been high priorities for 2010 and BR-XI features a proven electronic gear shifter and a new servo actuated clutch system with steering wheel mounted paddles. BR-XI aims to improve upon the success of 2009 and the team are excited about this summer’s competitions. For more information please visit us at www.brunelracing.co.uk.

Info
Brunel Racing has been competing in Formula Student since 1999 and is an integral part of Brunel University’s Motorsport Engineering degree course. The 2009 car, BR-X, aims to take large steps forward in terms of design and performance. BR-X uses an aluminium honeycomb monocoque, manufactured in-house, for the front section of the chassis and the rear of the car uses a compact spaceframe, making the chassis lighter than the 2008 car and providing a fresh challenge for the team. Engine development has involved many hours on the dyno and thorough analysis using Ricardo WAVE. The intake and exhaust systems have been iteratively improved and new cam profiles and mapping provide over 85bhp and 60Nm of power and torque. Further advances include the use of an electronic gear shifter, traction control and a custom lightweight differential housing. For more information please visit us at www.brunelracing.co.uk

Info
Brunel Racing is participating in FSG for the second year in a row. They achieved success in 2007 by finishing in all events and being the highest placed team running on E85. This year the team’s goal is to break into to overall top 10 placing and continue their successful use of E85. This year sees a number of changes to the car and team structure. A steel spaceframe chassis is once again utilised, but the addition of structural steel plates increases the structural rigidity while complying with safety rules regarding the fire wall. An exhaust system with a single silencer was chosen over the dual silencer system of last year to assist with the noise regulations. The 2008 team comprises of 2 final year MEng student reading in Motorsport Engineering as Team Principal and Technical Director along with numerous level 3 students that have taken on the responsibility of system designs and manufacture. Brunel Racing hope that FSG 2008 with be as exciting and rewarding as that of 2007.
